Family Scam Shield is a subscription service that provides scam‑awareness lessons and alerts to help you and your loved ones recognise and respond to scams. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available and how you can cancel your subscription. It does not limit any rights you may have under U.S. federal or state consumer‑protection laws.
Some subscription plans may include a free trial. The length of any free trial and the applicable paid plan and rate will be clearly disclosed at the time you sign up.
During a free trial, you can cancel at any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
If you do not cancel before the end of the trial, your first payment will be processed automatically, using the payment method you provided, and your subscription will continue on a recurring basis.
You may also choose to start a paid subscription immediately without a free trial, in which case your first payment will be charged at sign‑up.
We want you to have time to decide whether Family Scam Shield is a good fit.
You may request a full refund of your first paid charge within 30 days of that charge, whether you started with a free trial or went straight to a paid plan.
After this 30‑day period, all payments are non‑refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time to stop future renewals. When you cancel, your access to the Service will continue until the end of your current paid billing period.
Full refunds within the 30‑day window are generally approved when, for example:
you feel the alerts or materials are not a good fit for you or your family;
you subscribed by mistake or selected the wrong plan and contact us promptly; or
a technical or billing error on our side resulted in an incorrect charge.
Refunds may be declined when, for example:
there is evidence of abuse, such as repeated sign‑ups and refund requests across multiple accounts; or
the refund request is submitted after the 30‑day window has passed, unless a refund is required by applicable law.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit any mandatory refund rights you may have under U.S. law.
To cancel your subscription or request a refund:
email us at info@familyscamshield.com, or
use the support form on our website.
Please include:
the email address associated with your account; and
the date and amount of the charge you are asking about, if available.
This information helps us locate your account and process your request faster. Refunds that are approved are typically initiated within 5–10 business days, although the exact timing of the credit to your account depends on your bank or payment provider. We will confirm receipt of your request by email.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, we encourage you to contact us first at info@familyscamshield.com so we can investigate and, where appropriate, issue a refund directly. This is often faster and more straightforward than initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer.
Repeated, excessive, or fraudulent chargebacks may result in suspension or termination of your account, consistent with our Terms and Conditions.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or to applicable legal requirements. When we do, we will post the updated version on our website with a new “Last updated” date. The updated Policy will apply to purchases made after the effective date. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice, such as by email.
