Why your parents are now prime targets
Most adults are busy, living in different cities, and cannot be there every time a suspicious call comes in—which is why a simple, shared playbook for the whole family has become essential, not optional.
3–5 contacts a week
Typical number of scam calls, texts, or emails older adults report seeing now, even when they try to be careful.
1 family, many locations
Adult children often live in different cities or countries, so no one can sit beside parents for every suspicious call or message.
2–3 seconds of panic
That is all a convincing “It is me, I need help” message needs to push someone into sending money.
1 clear playbook
Having a simple, shared plan for what you and your parents do when something feels off is now essential, not optional.

Our Mission
The mission is to keep ordinary families one step ahead of scammers by turning complex, fast‑changing threats into clear, calm guidance you can pass on to your parents in minutes.
Our Values
Family Scam Shield exists to protect real families, not harvest data or sell fear. These are the promises behind every email and alert you receive.
Integrity
No fake urgency, no clickbait. Every alert is based on real scams verified by reputable fraud and consumer‑protection sources.
Privacy
You only share the contact details needed for alerts, and your family’s information is never sold or used for unrelated marketing.
Customer Support
If something looks suspicious and you are not sure what to do, you can reply to any email and a real person will point you toward the right guidance.
Plain‑language education
Everything is written so busy adult children and non‑technical parents can understand it in a few seconds—no jargon, no scare tactics.
How Family Scam Shield was born
Two years ago, one of our parents answered a call from someone who sounded exactly like a grandchild in trouble. The caller said there had been an accident, money was needed right now, and begged them not to tell anyone. By the time the rest of the family realized it was a scam, thousands of dollars had been wired away—and the bank could not get it back. That sick, helpless feeling is why Family Scam Shield exists: to give other families clear, early warnings so their parents do not have to learn the hard way.

Before Family Scam Shield, every unknown number on my parents’ phone felt like a test I might fail. I could not sit beside them 24/7, and the thought of them being tricked while I was busy at work was gut‑wrenching. This project is my way of giving other families the calm I was desperate for—clear guidance you can send to the people you love, before scammers get there first.
