Refund Policy
Family Scam Shield is a subscription service designed to protect you and your parents from scams. This refund policy explains when and how refunds are offered, and how you can cancel your subscription. It does not limit any rights you may have under U.S. federal or state consumer‑protection laws.
1. Trial period and first payment
Some subscriptions start with a 10‑day free trial. During these 10 days, you can cancel at any time and you will not be charged. If you prefer, you can also choose a paid plan that starts right away without a trial.
If your plan includes a trial and you do not cancel before the end of the 10 days, your first monthly payment will be processed automatically and your subscription will continue.
2. Refund window
You may request a full refund within 30 days of your first paid charge, whether you started on a free trial or went straight to a paid plan. This is meant to give you time to see whether the service works for you and your parents.
After 30 days, future payments are non‑refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop the next renewal. Your access will continue until the end of the current paid month.
3. When refunds are granted
Full refunds within the 30‑day window are normally approved when:
- You feel the alerts or materials are not a good fit for your family.
- You subscribed by mistake or on the wrong plan and contact support quickly.
- There was a technical or billing problem on our side.
Refunds may be refused if:
- There is clear evidence of abuse (for example, repeated sign‑ups and refunds).
- You request a refund long after the 30‑day window has passed, unless required by law.
4. How to cancel or request a refund
To cancel your subscription or ask for a refund, email familyscamshield@gmail.com or use the support form on the website—this applies whether you are on a trial or a paid‑from‑day‑one plan.
Please include the email address used for your account and, if possible, the date and amount of the last charge. This helps process your request faster. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
5. Changes to this policy
Family Scam Shield may update this refund policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. When this happens, the updated version will be posted on the website with a new “last updated” date, and it will apply to future purchases.
